Want new suggestions for lunch in the CBD? LadyBoss reviews Club Street Social’s new menu.
Weekday work lunches are usually very boring. Think about it – they’re usually rushed, lacklustre affairs. Most of the time, many of us spend our weekday lunch times with a quick takeaway, in front of our screens.
Club Street Social on Genmill Lane has introduced a new weekday set lunch that might just motivate you to get out and dine.
Club Street Social
Owned by LadyBoss Min Chan, Club Street Social has become a popular dining destination. Min Chan, who also owns Decker Barbecue, struck out on her own after gaining expertise in F&B through roles at the Ate Group and Raffles Hotel in Singapore; as well as Crown Macau.
The menu was conceptualised by Chef David Philphot, who was trained under Chef Pierre Koffmann, one of the few chefs to have been awarded the coveted three Michelin stars

The restaurant is a stone’s throw away from the CBD making it the perfect spot for a mid-day break away from bustling crowds. What we also liked was the sleek interior of Club Street Social – fancy enough for a meal out with a client, and casual enough for a meal with a friend.
We reviewed several items on their menu, and these were our favourites.
This vegetarian dish was served with gorgonzola, curly endive, and walnuts. This dish was a triumph, and everything was expertly cooked … simple, yet balanced.
150-day grain fed Bavette steak
This was a luscious, sexy steak cooked to perfection. It was served with horseradish sauce, fries, asparagus, and frisee salad.
The horseradish sauce was a surprising and delicious accompaniment to the steak … and yes, we know what you’re thinking, “Horseradish?!” The horseradish sauce was so good, we would tapau it if we could.

Minted Lamb Meatballs with Linguini
These meatballs were soft, tasty, and delicious. This was true comfort food – something you imagine coming home to after a long day at work.
The orange jelly which sat at the top of the duck liver was a great accompaniment to the creaminess of the parfait and the crunchiness of the toast.
Duck Liver Parfait with Orange Jelly and Toast
The pairing of duck and orange is a classic one (think Duck L’orange), and this dish proved why. The orange jelly sat at the top of the duck liver, and was a great accompaniment to the creaminess of the parfait and the crunchiness of the toast.
Overall, Club Street Social was a great spot for lunch. The dishes were tasty yet restrained, the decor was sleek yet casual, and we’d definitely return.
