Occupying an eye catching position in the room at Boutique Fairs Singapore with an impeccable and stunning layout, MAKE ROOM takes center stage showcasing the Dutch interior design brand HK Living. It’s an exciting time as Global Dutch brand is being launched in Singapore for the first time.
The launch of HK Living in Singapore is the result of the partnership between Tahnee Foo-Kong,the authorised distributor of HK Living in Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand as well as Barbara Fritschy, owner of MAKE ROOM. Former UBS Banker Barbara has been running interior design firm and store MAKE ROOM for 3 years prior to being approached by a HK Living agent. “I am super excited about HK Living in Singapore, it is the perfect opportunity I needed to build the retail part of my business”. The local agent introduced Tahnee and Barbara and the 2 ladies connected instantly, forming a business partnership a year later, to bring HK Living to Singapore.
“The simplicity and modern design of HK Living which is both trendy and global really draws me to the brand.” remarks Tahnee. For Babara, it’s a distinctive look and feel that’s beautiful and cozy which totally fits with their slogan ‘Be Happy At Home‘. Looking at some of the pieces, we can see how well HK Living lives up to the expectations of being simple yet modern and sophisticated.
When asked about the crowd appeal, “it’s actually 50/50 between expats and locals. Many expats love it because they know the brand and many Singaporeans love it for the minimalistic, trendy design,” Barbara responds.
MAKE ROOM will be having a public launch of their new concept store at Tan Boon Liat Building, 315 Outram Road #11-09 on 31st March from 7 to 9pm.
Do drop by the showroom for a fun party in a lovely setting!
